Calcium/Magnesium
Calcium is particularly important for maintaining good bone and muscle health, and if we don't take in enough or factors interfere with its absorption, conditions such as osteoporosis may arise. But to metabolize calcium properly, our bodies also need magnesium, so if you're deficient in either of these minerals, or if their ratios are improperly balanced, your bone health be adversely affected ... along with many other bodily processes. Usually, a 2:1 ratio of calcium to magnesium is recommended in supplementation, although that may vary depending on your diet, lifestyle, bodily condition, and other environmental factors.
