Product Notes:
Genestra's 'HMF' line of friendly intestinal bacteria are Human Micro Flora, meaning the strains were derived from people (rather than cows, e.g.); they tend to survive the passage through the stomach acids more than other types of probiotics, and also stick to our intestinal walls better and work faster to restore a healthy balance of intestinal flora.
Unlike many of the other varieties, these HMF probiotic formulas do not contain fructo-oligosaccharide. The two standard strength types are equal in strength per recommended serving (a 25 Billion CFU consortium guaranteed right up until the date of expiry), but some may prefer to take it in one format (stirred in with a liquid, or swallowed whole as a capsule) over the other.
Genestra Brands HMF Intensive 500 Probiotics
For those who want this formula in an ultra-concentrated version, try HMF Intensive 500 (Billion), which comes in pre-measured sachets (packets) of powders, to ensure you take no more than that amount at a given time.
Please note, Genestra has recently introduced a shelf-stable version of the standard strength capsules at the same price point with 5 fewer capsules, for those who may prefer the added convenience of that format. They can be ordered here, by special request (which would just add a little extra time before the order can be filled); please contact us for details.
Ingredients:
Each capsule or 1 g scoop of the two standard strength varieties contains:
Probiotic Consortium: 25 billion Colony Forming Units (CFU), consisting of Lactobacillus acidophilus (CUL-60) and Lactobacillus acidophilus (CUL-21) (19 billion CFU between them), and Bifidobacterium bifidum (CUL-20) and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis (CUL-34) (6 billion CFU between them).
The powder also contains Maltodextrin, while the capsules contain Cellulose and Hypromellose.
Each Sachet of the HMF Intensive 500 contains:
Probiotic Consortium: 500 billion CFU, consisting of:
Bifidobacterium animalis subsp . lactis (CUL-34) & Bifidobacterium bifidum (CUL-20): 300 billion CFU
Lactobacillus acidophilus (CUL-60 & CUL-21): 100 billion CFU
Lactobacillus salivarius (CUL-61): 100 billion CFU
