Ingredients:
Each tablet contains:
Senna (Cassia angustifolia) (leaf): 250 mg
Cascara Sagrada (Rhamnus purshiana) (aged bark): 150 mg
Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) (seed): 50 mg
Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra L.) (root): 50 mg
Gentian (Gentiana lutea L.) (root): 10 mg
Juniper (Juniperus communis L.) (berry): 5 mg
Buchu (Agathosma betulina) (leaf): 5 mg
Non-medicinal ingredients: Microcrystalline cellulose, hyprolose, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, silica.
No added wheat, corn, soy, gluten, sugar, or artificial colours or preservatives.
Suggested Usage:
Adults: Take two tablets at bedtime, 2 to 3 times a week, a few hours before or after taking other medications or health care products. Allow at least 6 to 12 hours for a laxative effect to occur. If results are not observed, the frequency of use can be increased up to once daily (rather than just taking it only 2 to 3 times a week).
Warnings:
Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, potential or existing intestinal blockage, atonic bowel, appendicitis, inflammatory colon disease such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, abdominal pain of unknown origin, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, severe dehydration with depleted water or electrolytes or diarrhoea. Do not use if you are taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives or other medication or health products which may aggravate electrolytes imbalance. Do not use if you have hypokalemia, high blood pressure, or a kidney or cardiovascular disorder, or if you have acute stomach irritation, inflammation, and stomach or duodenal ulcers. If you have heart disease, low blood pressure or liver disorder, diabetes or edema or are taking products contain diuretics or licorice, do not use. Do not use if you are allergic to anethole or plants of the Apiaceae/Carrot family.
Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking cardiac medications such as antiarrhythmic medications, if you have faecal impaction or symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever. Reduce dose or discontinue use if you experience abdominal pain, cramps, spasms and/or diarrhoea. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Stop and seek medical attention immediately if you experience dizziness, confusion, muscle weakness or pain, abnormal heart beat and/or difficulty breathing.
Hypersensitivity is known to occur, in which case, discontinue use. Some people may experience headaches.
