One of St. Francis Herb Farm's most popular tinctures, EchinaSeal Combo Tincture Infection Fighter has been used with great success by those suffering from infection, especially bacterial infections (streptococcus and others), but also viral infections.
Product Notes:
Cough, cold and flu - As nutritional support, EchinaSeal infection fighter helps relieve sore throats.
EchinaSeal Combo Tincture is also taken by those who feel themselves coming down with a cold or flu and need something to counter these strong viruses right away. In addition to throat infections, it also works great for lung infections and gingivitis.
The two foremost anti-microbial components of this formula are Echinacea and Golden Seal. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, Echinacea was found to be effective against typhus, diphtheria, and scarlet fever; its antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-tumour properties have been verified by modern science, as has its ability to elevate white blood cell counts.
Goldenseal is not only a superb tonifier of mucous membranes, but it, too, has strong antimicrobial properties. Wild Indigo is also a very good antimicrobial, and improves Echinacea's action. Similarly, Cayenne enhances all the other herbs' actions in this formula. Besides being antimicrobial, Bee Propolis demonstrates anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, and immuno-stimulatory action. Finally, the Myrrh increases white cell production and is specifically indicated for mononucleosis.
EchinaSeal can also be used externally as a wash for infected cuts, wounds, and scrapes. (Note: it stings.)
