To produce this cacao powder, the organically cacao beans are first dried naturally (not roasted) and allowed to ferment, in order to enable their intense chocolate flavour and aroma to come to fruition. Then the cacao nibs are removed from their shells, and ground up to create a delicious, low-fat, premium unsweetened cocoa powder, which you can use in smoothies, ice cream, chocolate recipes, or as a topping.
Cacao won't just give your taste buds a lift – although it doesn't have much caffeine, it does naturally contain the stimulant called Theobromine (from the Greek words for "food" of the "gods") which, while not as strong, is longer lasting, and won't cause palpitations or headaches. Raw unroasted cacao is an antioxidant, and as dietary support it may be able to help lower blood pressure and improve insulin sensitivity and mood.

Suggested Usage:
Add one or two spoonfuls to add a chocolate flavour various dessert recipes or smoothies. Or make your own raw chocolate with it.
