Spirulina is a type of blue-green algae that grows naturally in ponds or lakes. It's one of the most nourishing superfoods around, being loaded with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants (especially phycocyanin, a potent anti-inflammatory) AND high quality protein.

Spirulina from fresh water algae is an excellent food source of vitamin B12, vitamin A, and vitamin B1 (thiamine).
