Cinnamon has been shown to be high in antioxidants, which enable it to help reduce inflammation. There have also been a number of animal and human studies showing it may help lower blood sugar levels, reduce insulin resistance, support weight loss, and reduce cardiovascular disease risk factors. It also has anti-bacterial properties which can help oral health. It might even help stave off Alzheimer's disease! (by inhibiting the development of tau protein "tangles" inside neurons which impede synaptic communications).
