Product Notes:
Coenzyme Q10 is present in almost all cells, where it is necessary for mitochondrial energy production. A deficiency (which can be induced by statin medications, among other things) can result in symptoms like fatigue and brain fog. The body's highest concentrations of CoQ10 are found in the heart, where constant chemical energy availability is imperative. In addition to its benefits for cardiac function through facilitating energy production, CoQ10 also functions as a powerful fat soluble antioxidant, providing protection against free radical attack for vascular structures, as well as for other tissues, including the brain and neurons.
Although healthy bodies are able to produce the more biologically inert form of CoQ10 called ubiquinone (which is oxidized) and readily convert it to this active form (ubiquinol) on their own, that capability diminishes with age and with the use of certain medications.

Suggested Usage:
