As a supplement, NADH is used to improve both cognitive functions (alertness, clarity, concentration and memory) and athletic performance, and also to help chronic fatigue syndrome. To enhance its effectiveness, it NOW pairs it with Ribose to further improve the ATP production via different pathways, and possibly to help reduce muscle pain (especially for those with fibromyalgia).
NAD (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) is a coenzyme or carrier molecule our bodies use to transport electrons and protons to where they are needed to initiate biochemical reactions in our cells. Although our bodies create it partly from one of its major constituents nicotinamide (vitamin B3), our ability to produce it falls off as we age, and some may be deficient in it sooner than that. It comes in two forms, which cycle back and forth: the initial oxidized, low energy form, NAD+; and then the reduced, high energy form NADH, when two hydrogen atoms get attached.

Suggested Usage:
