Product Notes:
These NOW powders or capsules provide Myo-Inositol, its most abundant form, which all cell membranes use in their signalling molecules to respond to external stimuli – especially in the brain and central nervous system's neurotransmitters, where it can help support healthy mood balance when taken as a supplement.
Two mood disturbances Inositol may particularly be able to help with are panic disorders (reducing panic attacks and agoraphobia) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). A somewhat related area it reportedly may be of help with as a supplement is for psoriasis, brought on or worsened by lithium drug therapy.
Inositol may also be able to contribute to Healthy Ovarian Function and blood sugar maintenance, in women, to promote ovulation in those who are having trouble with that due to polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Naming Note: Though not actually a vitamin because it turns out our bodies are capable of synthesizing it themselves, inositol is still sometimes referred to as vitamin B8.
