Product Notes:

50 mg - Equivalent to 10,000 mg of Fresh Aloe Vera Gel

The aloe in NOW Foods Aloe Vera is sourced from the gel just underneath the outer peel of the plant (known as dried leaf latex when it is dehydrated to be made into a powder).

Although you may know Aloe Vera best as a wonderful way to ease sunburn or as a soothing ingredient in many topical lotions, it can also work its healing magic when taken internally: either to help soothe irritation or inflammation of the bowels/gastrointestinal tract, and especially to help relieve constipation (where it can not only stimulate peristaltic action to trigger bowel movements, but also prevent the colon from re-absorbing water, which softens the stools to make them easier to pass).

Each softgel contains:

50 mg Aloe Vera (Leaf Gel) (powder equivalent to 10g fresh gel)
