Info: 90 Veg. Capsules (100 mg)
Some of us need extra amounts of Vitamin B6 or have difficulty converting it to its more usable form, so this advanced synergistic formula provides it in two types, together with a suite of digestive enzymes to help our liver do that conversion, along with some magnesium and several other B vitamins that B-6 works in conjunction with, plus some ALA and a daily dose of Vitamin C to help prevent neuronal damage and shore up the immune system.

Product Notes:
It doesn't get nearly as much limelight as other micronutrients, but Vitamin B6 might be thought of as a much-in-demand top session musician (a bass player?) that helps bring over one hundred enzymatic and metabolic reactions to life on a daily basis and whose presence is required to make our digestive, circulatory, neurological, and immune systems perform properly. For example, it helps break down the amino acids/proteins, carbs, and lipids we need for energy and rebuilding muscles; it's instrumental in producing red blood cells and hemoglobin to carry oxygen; it helps produce a number of neurotransmitters impacting cognition and mood; and it helps maintain normal levels of homocysteine (an amino acid that increases the risks of certain diseases if left unchecked) and helps produce lymphocytes (the white blood cells that fight infections and diseases), among other things. It may even help relieve morning sickness!
Like the other B-Complex vitamins, B6 is water-soluble, which means it needs replenishing each day because any excess intake will get excreted. Most get enough in their diets, but some populations are at risk of a deficiency, including: children, the elderly, women on birth control pills, people with kidney disease or auto-immune diseases of the GI tract, those taking the drug Isoniazid for TB, and people who over-consume alcohol.
Most supplements (including this one) supply Vitamin B6 primarily in its inactive form, pyridoxine, which makes its way to the liver to get converted to the active form that actually carries out its various functions, because the latter, pyridoxal-5′-phosphate (P-5-P), is over twice as costly to produce. But because not all livers are equally proficient at carrying out that conversion, this advanced formula goes the extra mile, to not only supply a goodly portion of that P-5-P form (5 mg, where the recommended daily allowance for B6 for normal healthy people ranges between less than 1 mg for children to about 2 mg for pregnant or breastfeeding women) that's ready to go immediately, but also a collection of plant-based digestive enzymes that even an over-worked liver can draw on to transform the rest as the day wears on.
And because Vitamin B6 does not perform its operations in isolation and those suffering from a deficiency may be experiencing other challenges to their health, this Synergistic formulation also includes several types of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants to help fill out the orchestra, as it were, to protect or improve nervous system functioning and reduce stress.
