New Roots Sterols & Sterolins products come in two strengths, with the "Super Immune" type also adding a third ingredient the immune system uses to help fight off invading bacteria and viruses: zinc.
Sterols are a type of fat found in food plants, and when glucose molecules get attached to them, they are called Sterolins. Because these compounds are structurally similar to cholesterol, they can occupy the same sites in the intestines where cholesterol gets absorbed, to prevent some cholesterol (both total cholesterol and the more harmful low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol) from entering your bloodstream when you take these supplements together with your food.
In addition, studies have shown that beta-Sitosterol, one of the most prevalent forms of these phytosterols, can inhibit tumors and boost several components of the immune system, including NK (natural killer) cells, T cells, gamma interferon, and interleukin‑2, so it is sometimes used to treat suppressed immunity. There has also been an influential study of marathon runners, indicating such sterols could counteract the suppression of the immune system which normally occurs during heavy exercise.
Arabinogalactan
Arabinogalactan is a type of soluble dietary fibre most commonly extracted from the bark of Larch trees (this particular type is from the Eastern Larch, or Tamarack, tree), and is also present in some other types of plants, including several foods and some herbs, such as Echinacea.
Studies have shown that larch tree extract arabinogalactans can stimulate the function of some immune cells, both indirectly by fostering the growth of at least two major types of beneficial microbiota in the gut (it is a prebiotic), and directly, by enhancing NK (Natural Killer) cell activity against tumor cells. One particular formulation of it also appears to have demonstrated a protective effect against respiratory tract infections among healthy subjects, and also appeared to enhance healthy people's immune system response in developing antibodies when it was added to the pneumonia vaccine they received.
Finally, the mineral Zinc, which has been added to the Super Immune version, can help stimulate the production of white blood cells and help fight flus and infections.

275 mg D‑Galacto-L‑arabinan (from Larix laricina)
Non-medicinal ingredients: Microcrystalline cellulose, vegetable magnesium stearate, and silicon dioxide in a non‑GMO vegetable capsule composed of vegetable carbohydrate gum and purified water.

Suggested Usage:
