Kelp helps fight infections. Kelp is also reported to have a positive effect upon the sensory nerves, brain tissue, membranes surrounding the brain, and spinal cord. It is used for hair loss, goiter, ulcers and obesity. It is also known to be of benefit against the effects of radiation. It is also good for those with a mineral deficiency and for stimulating the metabolism, for calcium retention, and blood purification.
Last, but certainly not least, a safe kelp source with a standardized amount of iodine like this can also be of benefit to expectant mothers who don't ordinarily consume it or iodized salt, since a mild-to-moderate iodine deficiency during pregnancy can adversely affect thyroid function in both parties, and the mental development of the newborn. (Be careful not to exceed the recommended daily amounts of iodine, however.)
Ingredients:
Each tablet contains: 225 mg of organic Norwegian kelp [Ascophyllum nodosum], supplying 225 mcg of Iodine.
Non-medicinal ingredients: Sorbitol, microcrystalline cellulose, vegetable stearic acid, and silicon dioxide.
Contains no preservatives, artificial flavour or colour, dairy, sugar, wheat, gluten, soy or yeast.
Suggested Usage:
Adolescents 9 to 13 years old: Take 1 tablet daily with a meal, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
Adults: Take 1 to 2 tablets daily with meals, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
