Info: 100 Vegetable Capsules, With Betaine Hydrochloride and Ox Bile
This New Roots Herbal formula provides a blend of enzymes and other digestive agents designed to help your body properly break down and process the various components of food so you can get the most out of what you eat.
Product Notes:
Of course, our bodies produces 22 different digestive enzymes on their own (and we get others from many foods), but as we age, the pancreas produces less of those enzymes, and blockages in the pancreatic duct and certain diseases such as cystic fibrosis can impair digestion and impede our ability to absorb vital nutrients.
This formulation provides amylase, lipase and protease enzymes plus betaine hydrochloride (which our stomachs produce, as well) and papain and pepsin to break down carbohydrates, fats and proteins, which can reduce gas or bloating after a rich meal, plus ox bile salts, to help the overtaxed liver emulsify fats and help us absorb the fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E and K).
Digestive Enzymes might even be able to reduce some people's food allergy symptoms by breaking down previously undigested proteins to sizes too small to trigger allergic reactions.
