When you're suffering from aching joints or arthritis or your strained muscles are driving you to distraction, you want something with tried and true ingredients that can works pretty much immediately on multiple fronts, which absorbs quickly without being too greasy.
Nature's Aid can help. This Canadian company makes a terrific All Natural Skin Gel that's great for soothing and healing a lot of different kinds of superficial cuts, scrapes, or irritations, and now they've turned their attention to relieving some common types of problems going on below the surface, as well.
The Aches & Pain Gel has a nice cooling effect to start with, thanks to its menthol, a natural substance derived from mint plants, which relaxes muscle tension and also begins the gel's pain reduction and anti-inflammatory action on the underlying muscle or joint tissues. While that's happening, the two other natural medicinal ingredients function as "counterirritants": temporarily creating a bit of minor inflammation on the outer skin in order to relieve the pain or inflammation in the deeper structures below, while also helping to heal the skin with the Eucalyptus oil and reducing the inflammation in the underlying muscles and joints (for the Lavandin, made from a unique form of lavender called Massuet that contains a lot of camphor).
But the benefits of the Aches & Pain Gel don't stop there, since it also provides a number of skin nourishing and/or hydrating ingredients such as aloe vera and glycerin to help restore the skin, and rosemary, witch hazel, and tea tree oils to act as anti-bacterial and anti-fungal agents.

Non-medicinal ingredients: Aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf extract, aqua (purified water), glycerol, allantoin, carbomer 940, carrageenan, lecithin, sodium hydroxide, xanthan gum, sodium phytate, Rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, Hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel) bark/leaf extract, vitamin E, Melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil, ethylhexylglycerin, phenoxyethanol.
These ingredients are all plant based and/or naturally derived, and certified non-GMO. This product is gluten-free, paraben-free, and vegan friendly, with no animal testing.
Suggested Usage:
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, and mouth; rinse with vegetable oil should that occur. Do not apply to wounds or damaged skin.
Apply thinly and evenly to the affected area up to four times a day. Rub and/or massage into skin until the solution vanishes.
Do not expose the applied area(s) to the sun for 24 to 48 hours after application. Also, do not tightly bandage the area when the product is on, or apply external heat (such as a heating pad) to it, to avoid excessive skin irritation or skin burn.
