Info: Dark Blue Colour Scheme; Available in Sizes 39-49 Eur. (6.5 to 14 U.S.)
Although the kybun Matterhorn is classified as a hiker, given its great tread and ankle support, heavy duty lacing system, and water-repellent nature (with a rubber coating on the first inch or so of the upper to protect it from the water and dirt), many Canadians may be inclined to use it as a winter boot, even though it's not insulated. (Just wear an extra pair of socks!) Either way, it provides plenty of support on top and plenty of cushioning, below.

About kybun: Getting Started & FAQ
Named after the famous mountain situated between Italy and Switzerland (where these kybun boots are made), this latest edition of kybun Matterhorn has a new colour scheme and their most evolved outdoor sole, yet.
Like the Santis 20, the Matterhorn is outfitted on the new Strato Outdoor sole, which combine the newly shaped Strato soles (which have the same depth of cushioning material as kybun's original comfort soles, but with a slimmer profile [the soles do not protrude as much from the uppers, except at the heel] and are a bit more tapered in the toe and heel to provide a better roll-through action to make it more pleasurable to walk in) with the tread pattern from kybun's Cumulus hikers, which feature rugged squares or rectangular knobs to navigate rocky terrain with half centimetre deep channels around them to displace water and reduce slippage.
To protect your ankles from getting sprained, the Matterhorn 20 has high shafts (e.g., the ankle area of the upper is 7 inches high on a size 10 model), and seven sets of hooks and loops (plus one on the tongue). The split suede leather on its upper is both water-repellent and attractive, and to protect you from over-heating, there's ventilation on the tongue.
Recommended Sizing Guidance: Kybun Standard Size
Since many of kybun's shoes are wider than the medium width most shoes are produced in, kybun recommends that customers measure the actual length of their bare feet before ordering and look that up on their table to see which size to order, which may end up being smaller than you're used to. That said, if you are intending to use this as a winter boot, you may want to leave a little extra room for an extra pair of socks, since it does not have a winter lining. On the other hand, there is also a removable insole in these boots, so if you are likely to use them for a combination of hiking and winter boots, it may be that you can get the size indicated on their chart for your foot length and wear them with a single pair of socks during the more temperate months, and remove the insoles to don an extra pair of socks once it gets below -10C or so.
