Composition:
Upper: Nubuck Leather, with rubber protective edging
Lining: Mesh
Insole: High-quality 3D Mesh, treated with an antibacterial finish
Sole: PU, with either the Cumulus/Hiker on the two Jungfrau 17 Peanut models we have in stock (in U.S. sizes 9 and 9-1/2); or the Strato Outdoor (which has the same tread pattern) for all the other sizes in either the Jungfrau 19 Peanut (for the immediate future), or the upcoming Jungfrau 20 Peanut model (whose production has been delayed).
Size Recommendation
With the Jungfrau 19 Peanut model, customers are advised to try one size bigger than their usual size (because these do not have especially wide soles, and their uppers are slimmer than the soles).
The kybun Walk-On-Air hiking sole has dozens of rugged knobs in its tread with half centimetre deep channels around them.
Jungfrau
"Jungfrau" (or "young maiden") is one of the best-known mountains in the Swiss Alps, and also the name of a railway and a protected region there in south-western Switzerland, (between the cantons of Berne and Valais. The Jungfrau-Aletsch area became a World Heritage Site in 2001, and has a number of hiking and walking trails around its perimeter. (kybun is based in Switzerland.)
