The lower part of the Chiasso feature the "Strato" style soles, the latest version of the kybun "walk-on-air" sole, in its full depth. They not only have great shock absorption and traction and distribute your weight more evenly throughout the sole to reduce pressure points and pains, but also provide streams of air to cool your feet while you walk, plus they have been designed to provide a better rolling action -- a smoother transition from the hindfoot to the midfoot -- than previous kybun soles.
Their black leather upper (except for some mesh on the tongue, to provide ventilation) provides a modern update on wingtip style pointed shoes by including the requisite elegant perforated patterns on its sides and toe area, but without the pointed tips, of course (since those can be uncomfortable or awkward to walk in), and it is cut more like a conventional walking shoe in the hindfoot.

Sizing Information: The soles on the Chiasso are fairly wide - appropriate for hiking, walking and other activities - but their upper is not as wide as the soles, especially in the midfoot and hindfoot areas. If you have wide feet, you may need a larger size than you normally wear.
