Product Notes:
Jalapeno peppers can be too much of a good thing if eaten whole or even in slices. So sometimes we just want to use their outer skins to add some flavour and fibre to an omelet, for example, while saving the spicier seeds and interior for a tomato sauce or pizza later.
You can also use their entire shells to stuff with cheese or sauce and cover them in batter to make pepper poppers. But this can be difficult to do, given their shape -- especially without mangling them -- without a specialty device such as this. Norpro makes it easy.
Composition:
3-3/4 inch long stainless steel blade with a 4-inch long, ergonomic santoprene handle, which is non-slip and soft to the touch. Dishwasher safe.
Suggested Usage:
First slice the top off of the jalapeno with the serrated edge on the side of the tool;
then insert the tip into the core and twist and push it down to the bottom of the pepper;
then pull straight up to remove the seeds and core at the same time.
