The Q4000 replacement cartridge is the preferable choice for use with all Quantum systems, being the more cost effective choice as it has twice the filtering capacity. The long-lasting Q4000 cartridge filters 2,000 gallons of water with 0.5 micron filtration, resulting in increased savings and less hassle changing filters due to higher filtering capacity.
(Reminder: before connecting the new filter to its final destination (be it a water cooler, ice-making machine, coffee or soda dispenser, or drinking water faucet), be sure to flush the cartridge by running water through it for three minutes at full flow, first.

Product performance is dependent upon incoming water conditions. The contaminants or other substances removed by this drinking water system are not necessarily in your water.
Warnings:
Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
Please note that the Q4000 replacement cartridge is 15" in length (4.5" longer than the Q1000), but will fit the same QH3 head as the Q1000 cartridge.
Please measure the length of space below the filter before purchasing the Q4000, to ensure you have enough space to accommodate the 15" length. (It's recommended that there be at least 2-1/2" clearance below, to enable installation and removal.)
