IP-6 (Inositol hexaphosphate) can be found naturally in some high-fibre foods such the hull or bran of rice, or legumes, or in some seeds, but is often missing from our diet because it has been processed or milled out of them.
As a natural antioxidant, IP-6 appears to have great promise as nutritional support. Inositol also has many other functions in the body, including as a lipotropic factor, which can prevent excess fat and cholesterol accumulating in the liver. (A systematic review of clinical studies indicates it may improve triglycerides and total- and LDL-cholesterol levels.)

Each CF IP-6 & Inositol Capsule (NPN 02239247) contains:
- 506 mg Calcium Magnesium Phytate, containing 400 mg of Inositol Hexaphosphate, which itself contains 110 mg of Inositol
- 110 mg of Inositol (from rice)
Non-medicinal ingredients: Magnesium Stearate, Silicon Dioxide, Gelatin Capsule (gelatin, titanium dioxide, water).
Each 1/4 teaspoon of the sugar-free CF IP-6 & Inositol Powder (NPN 02246113) contains:
- 522.56 mg Calcium Magnesium Phytate, containing 413.9 mg of Inositol Hexaphosphate, which contains 113.6 mg of Inositol
- 114.5 mg of Inositol (from rice)
Non-medicinal ingredients: Maltodextrin, Citric Acid, Mango and Passion Fruit Flavours from natural sources, Stevia, Riboflavin-5-Phosphate.
Suggested Usage:
Adults: Two capsules, twice daily; or 1/4 teaspoon (0.9g) of the powder, twice daily, dissolved in 250ml of water or your favourite beverage. Best taken on an empty stomach (or only with food containing little protein), for better absorption.
