Want strong bones? Drinking lots of milk or taking some other forms of calcium and phosphorus may not suffice, if they don't get taken up properly. The CanPrev D3/K2 drops combine the optimal forms of Vitamin D, to help their absorption, with the best type of vitamin K, to help calcium bind to the bones in particular.

Product Notes:
This optimal form of vitamin K2 has a longer half-life within the bloodstream (resulting in more stable blood levels) and a better effect on bone and cardiovascular health through the activation of osteocalcin.
Research has shown that vitamin K2 from MK-7 activates the protein osteocalcin, which is needed in combination with calcium to create healthy cartilage, bone and soft tissues; and the protein MGP (matrix Gla-protein), which is also essential for the optimal health of bones and arteries. There are also strong indications of vitamin K enriching mineral content within bones, increasing bone density, and improving bone mass.
We need Vitamin K not only for activating blood clotting factors, but also to help prevent the accumulation of arterial calcium (which may be implicated in some cardiovascular disorders), and to help construct and maintain healthy bones. Most adults and children are deficient in K vitamins (there are at least 2 types), however; their dietary intake has declined dramatically, recently, and the K1 type that's in green leafy vegetables isn't absorbed that well, anyway. These supplementary liquid drops by CanPrev contain natural Vitamin K2 in its most absorbable form.
To create a healthy bone matrix, our bodies need to bind calcium to the surface of the bone to make it stronger, and that's achieved via a protein called "osteocalcin" -- which is activated by vitamin K, so it's no wonder that higher levels of Vitamin K are strongly associated with better bone mass, better bone density, and improved bone geometry.
Vitamin K also activates another protein, the matrix Gla-protein, which inhibits or helps prevent calcium from building up in the arteries. It (MGP) is the most potent inhibitor of soft tissue calcification currently known.
Vitamin K2 can be absorbed almost completely by all the tissues in our body (including cartilage, bone and soft tissues), especially when this fat-soluble vitamin is delivered in a medium of an edible oil, like these drops (which has an MCT [Medium Chain Triglyceride) base, which consists of stable fatty acids). And this specific form of it, MK-7, has a very long half-life once it's in circulation, so if taken regularly as directed, your body will have a steady supply of vitamin K2, 24/7.
