Info: 90 Veg. Softgels (750 mg)
Are you getting enough beneficial essential fatty acids (EFAs) in your diet to keep up your cardiovascular, skin, cognitive, and perhaps even psychological health? If you're a vegan or simply don't eat much oily fish, chances are you're not (since they're a major source), so ahiflower oil is an excellent alternative. In fact, it's probably even better, given both the range and types of EFAs it contains and gets readily converted to, and its more sustainable nature.

Product Notes:
100% Plant-Based Omegas (3-6-9)
You may have turned to vegetarian sources such as flax, chia, sacha inchi seed oil in the past, but they don't have as rich a profile in the various types of omega-3, 6 and 9 fatty acids as Ahiflower Oil does, particularly the type that's more likely to get converted to the main type of longer-chain Omega-3s we need most of during our prime years: EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), which helps reduce inflammation and acts as a precursor to DHA (docosahexaenoic acid).
Ahiflower oil also contains omega-6 GLA (Gamma-Linolenic Acid), which is beneficial for the skin and immune system - something that's not even in flax, chia, or fish oil.
The Ahi Flower is a member of the borage family, which has been bred from a type of plant which tended to grow near wheat fields in England. Also known as field or corn gromwell, the oil extracted from it delivers a healthy 3.5 to 1 balance of Omega 3 to Omega 6 (there are a total of 63% Omega 3s, 18% Omega 6s, and 6% Omega 9s); and it contains ALA, SDA, GLA, plus Linoleic, Oleic, Palmitic, and Other Fatty Acids.
While many plant-based sources of Omega-3s including Ahiflower oil do contain ALA (alpha-linolenic acid), only about 5% of that particular type of EFA gets converted in our bodies to EPA. That pales in comparison to the 20 to 30% of ingested SDA (stearidonic acid) which Ahiflower has quite a lot of (and many rival plant sources have none of) getting used to produce EPA, with the net result being that Ahiflower oil enables us to produce EPA up to 4 times more efficiently than flax seed oil, for example. Its developer has also conducted a study confirming its SDA content also facilitates the efficient natural production of DHA in our bodies.
