Hallux valgus and Hallux rigidus - kybun Therapy

"Dr. kybun-Joya" on Hallux valgus and Hallux rigidus

Hallux valgus is the most common deformity of the forefoot and toes. Hallux valgus is a deformity of the metatarsophalangeal joint in the big toe. The big toe deviates outward and displaces the other toes. A painful inflamed protrusion often forms at the metatarsophalangeal joint.

Hallus rigidus is a case of arthrosis in the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe. As a result, the joint becomes inflamed and the space between is narrowed. This leads to a restriction of the mobility of the big toe. The rigid nature of conventional shoe soles on asphalt floors leads to uncontrolled foot flexing and prevents natural rolling over the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe. This leads to overloading and excessive stress on this joint with each step.

Conventional measures for Hallux valgus and Hallux rigidus commonly involve orthopedic or stiff carbon soles which inhibit active rolling in the movement over the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe to relieve the pain. This further restricts the function of the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe, which is why other structures are misloaded.

The wearing of kybun and Joya shoes shoes, in contrast, allows an active rolling motion over the forefoot. Thanks to the gentle rolling motion of the elastic springy sole, the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe is relieved through the optimized distribution of pressure, and the joint and surrounding muscles are strengthened by the active rolling motion.
