Foot Deformities - kybun Therapy
"Dr. kybun-Joya" on Malpositions in the Feet (Foot Deformities)
We talk of foot malposition when the shape of the foot deviates from its ideal anatomical shape. Foot malposition can influence the statics and dynamics of the entire foot. As a result, they can have an impact on the overlying structures such as bones, joints, muscles, and fascia in addition to exerting an incorrect or excessive load on the feet.
A distinction is made between the following foot disorders:
- Splay foot, with lowering of the transverse arch;
- Hollow foot, with a pronounced longitudinal arch;
- Flat foot, with a completely depressed longitudinal arch;
- Bending foot, is characterized by the lowering of the inner side of the foot and the raising of the outer side of the foot; finally,
- Fallen arch, with lowering of the longitudinal arch. Its extreme form is the flat foot.
Our sedentary and inactive lifestyles combined with walking on hard flat floors cause our foot muscles to deteriorate. The stiffness of the conventional shoes as well as asphalt surfaces leads to an uncontrolled folding of the feet and prevents a natural rolling gate. As a result, the foot movement is noticeably restricted with every single step.
Conventional measures for foot malposition are orthopedic insoles. Insoles passively support the foot, but as the foot movement is additionally prevented, this leads to further weakening of the musculature.
Wearing kybun or Joya shoes, on the other hand, activates the foot muscles. Thanks to the gentle rolling motion of the elastic springy sole, the feet can move in all directions and actively roll again, similar to being barefoot in nature. This activates and thus strengthens the foot musculature.
